With so much going on in the world these days, it's easy to forget about self-care. One problem I see in many patients is inflammation. What causes it and what can we do about it?
Inflammation is your body's natural reaction to heal itself, from things such as injury, infection and toxins. Your body releases a chemical that gets a response from your immune system that something is not right. Chronic inflammation happens when your body is in a constant state of something not being right, and the immune response lingers.
Signs of inflammation can be obvious such as pain, swelling and redness. More subtle signs include chest or abdominal pain, rashes, fever and fatigue.

DIET!! In today's fast food world, we often forget the food is MEDICINE! If you want to see change on the inside, put good healthy food on your shopping list. If you even look at that mud pie you'll gain 5lbs, or is that just me? Junk food is just that, junk. Eat as healthy as you can and your body will thank you for it.
